NETSYNC DEVELOPING WEB APPLICATION DEDICATED TO EGYPTIANS ABROAD
NETSYNC SVP, TAMER HEDAYET, MEETS WITH EGYPTIAN AMBASSADOR, SOHA GENDY:AGREE TO DEVELOPMENT OF WEB APPLICATION DEDICATED TO EGYPTIANS ABROAD
Who would have thought that a sidelines meeting with Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi back in October of 2019 would continue to bear more fruit three years later.
It was this meeting during the Egypt Can Conference when Netsync Senior Vice President, Tamer Hedayet, met with the President – that served as the stimulus for a huge number of Egyptian businessmen abroad to invest in their homeland.
Today, that momentum – and those much-needed investments – were tops on the agenda as Hedayet met with Egypt Ambassador Soha Gendy, Egyptian Minister of Immigration, to further discuss enhanced cooperation regarding these critical resources coming from Egyptians living outside the country.
“We welcome the cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Immigration, and we seek more concessions towards Egyptians abroad and their investments in their homeland,” said Hedayet.
Hedayet, one of the most preeminent experts of Egypt Can, began the meeting with a brief overview of Netsync, noting that “since 2001, the company has been able to support the development of the operating infrastructure in the U.S. and several other countries, including 22 branches working in various fields all over the world.”
Additionally, Hedayet outlined Netsync’s current cooperation with Egypt’s Ministry of Communications in the implementation of Egypt Digital Platform, along with the successful implementation of various projects with other ministries, as well as government and private institutions, with a financial portfolio that exceeds $90 million. He was also sure to point out that Netsync’s plans for further expansion came as a direct result of the President’s invitation.
Hedayet then added, “With the cooperation between Egyptian investors abroad and Egyptian national organizations, investors could localize the latest technologies and contribute to Egypt’s national projects in a way that achieves comprehensive and sustainable development.”
He went on to convey to Ambassador Gendy the critical need of Egyptian investors abroad to get more concessions with regard to banking procedures, urging the ministry to continue its supportive role, as well as convey their request to the concerned authorities.
At the end of their meeting, Hedayet and Ambassador Soha agreed that Netsync will participate – as part of the assigned work group, in the development of the web application dedicated to Egyptians abroad. This application is to constitute all the incentives and concessions granted by the Ministry of Immigration for Egyptians abroad and is implemented by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
